Firstly, m8mc is now officially Limited. Middle 8 Marketing Ltd is now in full effect. This move is meant to reflect Middle 8′s successful 2011, a preparation for forthcoming expansion and a confirmation of our intentions.
This is not meant to be 2011′s journal, but there has been a real ramping up of the technology shift to mobile and cloud based devices this year and a lot of the work we’ve done reflects this. Cloud based computing has finally taken off with a vengeance, further asserted by Apples iCloud. By next year, Vodafone for example, won’t supply a non-Smartphone device and the iPad2 (which I’m writing this on now) was a huge hit. Apps are the way forward and even Windows 8 and several car brands incorporate app integration.
We’ve launched and promoted ArtPad for the iPhone, an app that allows the creation of fun graphics for all social media accounts, caller ID’s and more.
We’ve been managing newsletter, blogging and social media for Derby’s Strawdog Studios, producers of Peppa Pig and Doctor Who apps and we’re currently producing their dedicated business app wing, FirstApp’s website, along with SEO, newsletter, blogging and social media management.
We conducted Market Research in conjunction with local telemarketing company, Hatch and Capture, to identify trends in the market and potential target industries for FirstApp too, which was an extremely eye-opening excise indeed!
We’ve promoted a great Golf training aid, Golf Power Hour, by Clear Thought Sport through blogging and social media.
Another great project we’re involved in is the release and promotion of Inventory Photos, a very intuitive inventory app for the iPhone that allows the user to take time and date stamped, geotagged, watermarked images at the touch of a button. Look out for it this week on the App Store!
I’m even writing this blog using a WordPress app, which will geotag this post with my location. You have to app-reciate this shift in technology.
